Rachel Heymans and Ayelet Karni have been playing together since 2011. Both Rachel and Ayelet have graduated the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, where they studied Recorders with Corina Marti and Oboe with Katarina Arfken.
They play a wide variety of wind instruments, which includes recorders, oboes, shawms and bombards, double recorders and pipe and tabor. Their repertoire ranges from early Medieval music, through Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and up to Contemporary music.
Check out our Dornröschen project – puppet theater with early music! The story of Sleeping Beauty told by a collage of musical pieces, from the middle ages to contemporary music, including rock, pop and improvisation. All played instrumentally by our wind instruments duo, without using words! A collaboration with Mel Myland (The Puppet Workshop, Aargau), Igor Mamlenkov, Giulia Manfredini and Doreen Buchholz (puppeteers).
